Kremlin: US shifts focus from Moscow attack to ISIS

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia believed the United States was focusing its attention on the Islamic State, which it believed was responsible for last week’s terror attack at the Krokos City Hall concert venue in the Moscow region. , this move is to divert people’s attention from other things.

Peskov said in the interview that it seemed strange that Washington would presume to talk about the only version of what happened.

“It certainly shows that they want to divert their attention from other things,” he stressed.

He called for patience and waited for official findings, noting that so far no one has provided an official version.

“Special services are working on backing up existing versions,” he said.

On March 22, militants opened fire on the Krokus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, killing at least 140 people and injuring more than 360 people.

The Investigative Committee said it detained 11 people, including four perpetrators, in the Bryansk border region as they were traveling to Ukraine.

On Sunday night, Moscow’s Basman District Court charged the four perpetrators with terrorism and approved their pretrial detention until May 22.
