Polish president vetoes legalization of over-the-counter morning-after pill


Polish President Andrzej Duda on Friday vetoed a law that would have allowed girls and women aged 15 and older to buy the morning-after pill over-the-counter, his office said.Duda says he cares about minors’ health and listens to their voices parents.

A statement from Duda’s office said the president had sent the law back to parliament but left an open mind on the issue of free access to hormonal contraceptives for those 18 and older.
