His family remembers Graham as a loving grandfather and for love for florida.

The former senator was one of the earliest opponents of and critical of the Iraq War. Former President George W. Bush’s Occupation policy in Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003.
During his 18 years in Washington, Graham worked across party lines, notably working with Florida Republican Connie Mack for more than a dozen years in the Senate.
He served in the Senate from 1979 to 1987.

After leaving public life in 2005, Graham spent much of his time at the University of Florida’s Center for Public Policy, which bears his name, and pushed for legislation requiring more civics courses in public schools in the Sunshine State.
Graham was one of five members elected in June 2010 to the independent commission investigating the massive BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that threatened several southeastern Gulf states. sea life and beach.
